Well hello to everybody and thank you for taking the time visit our website. So as most of you know we have finally escaped Florida’s plummeting housing market and we are now living it up in Knoxville, TN and loving every minute of it. We had a grand farewell before we left, all of the Florida clan took time from their busy schedules to see us off which was wonderful, and the girls got to spend some quality time with Pappy and Paprika while the movers were there and we closed on our house.

We spent the first few weeks here in a furnished apartment where Izzi got to practice her stairs since we were on the bottom floor. It was unexpected for us too, to have stairs for the bottom floor, but you parked on the 2nd floor level and had to walk down to the apartment. It worked and was a preview to the two sets of stairs we traverse everyday in our new house.

We just finally finished unpacking yesterday (a long 10 days) and now we are in the process of starting projects like painting, installing new lights and dimmer switches and a few other tweaks around the house to make it our own and getting it ready for visitors (almost there maybe in November). I am just glad Izzi is really into her new toys; her chill swing and her bounce house help to keep her entertained while we try to work. Well that is until the ladder comes out than watch out there is no stopping her from climbing to the top. She even pushes me out of the way to get there. Lexi has taken over the floors. She manages to get around by scooting, rolling and is oh so close to crawling.

Both girls had their appointments recently, Izzi’s 3 year and Lexi’s 6 month. Both received clean bills of health. Izzi is still tracking way above the grow chart and Lexi is not to far behind.

Today we headed to the Knox Zoo and Izzi had a blast calling out every animal she saw and Lexi almost got whiplash from trying to take everything in. Good thing we picked up season passes because I am sure Izzi will be requesting to go again. Next time we are going to let her take a camel ride.
Also Izzi has started school and she really seems to like it. Music class is by far her favorite; she comes home on the bus with the biggest smile singing new songs. It is either that or the fact that the other 6 students in her class are boys. She is showing great improvement in only 2 weeks. She loves to answer and talk on the phone now so do not be afraid to call her.
