Day Seven: Epcot

We didn't quite make the opening of Epcot, but we came close. First thing we headed to Soarin' because that was really the goal of the day! We had decided that Izzi and I would go first and then if she liked it then she would go again with Rick with the child swap. I strapped Izzi in and was a little nervous, but hopeful that she would really like the ride. When it started she was into it and was really happy until the Jets flew by. But even then she just held her hands over her ears. When we were done I asked if she wanted to go again, and she said YES! So, I grabbed Lexi and we went to ride the Land while Izzi and Rick went Soarin'! He said she held her hands over her ears most of the time that go round, but still seemed to enjoy it.

Lexi and I were reminded what lines were like without the guest assistance pass while we waited in line for the Land. It took so long that Rick and Izzi were out and waiting for us when we got back. After that we went to Innovations for a little while, but the girls started having meltdowns, so we headed back to the hotel to begin the packing and coordination of photo printing, etc.

We had a great trip overall! The next morning, Izzi knew we were headed home when we went to the car instead of the bus stop. She wasn't at all happy about it and let us know all the way to Gainesville. Once we got out to visit with Sarah, Hank and the twins (Gabi and KK were visiting the grandparents) she was fine and turned her focus to school. Good think too since our radio wasn't working, so the whole way home (10 hours) she entertained us with songs and tidbits about school. Lexi took it all in stride and I think was very very happy to see home again, the next morning.
